We simply could not do what we do without the help of volunteers! Whether you can volunteer once a week, once a month or once a year; individually or with a group of friends, family or colleagues, whatever your commitment, every hour of assistance helps us ensure our neighbours have access to food and support in their time of need.
Thanks to our volunteers, Bridge Builders Incorporated serves more than 6,000 people each year across the Mandurah & Peel region. Last year, volunteers donated 4,324 hours of their time to help distribute 24,688 meals to families, seniors, and children experiencing hunger, poverty and food insecurity in our community. What you do matters!
There are different ways to get involved with Bridge Builders Incorporated and we want you to enjoy volunteering for us. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
Food Service Centre Volunteer
From sorting food donations, making up and labelling hampers for clients, meeting those dropping off donation and meeting clients or administrative support there's a wide range of hands-on roles for volunteers based in the Community Food Services centre.
In order to provide food assistance hampers to those in need within our community we first have to collect food donations from our various donors within the state. As a volunteer driver you collect food from supermarkets and other food suppliers and bring it back to the Community Food Services Centre for sorting and distributing.
