Dine Out to Help Out

On February 17, 2023 your meal can make a difference.

On Friday February 17, Random Act of Kindness Day, Bridge Builders Incorporated will host our inaugural Dine Out to Help Out day, a community-wide restaurant event. This event invites the community to dine out for a cause and support locally-operated restaurants, cafes and bars who pledge to donate a percentage of sale to fight food insecurity in the Mandurah - Bindjareb (Peel) community.  Bridge Builders Inc. works in the local community to nourish and improve the social, emotional, spiritual and economic wellbeing of people who are suffering from misfortune, poverty, disability or helplessness. Please register all venues by February 12, 2023. Bridge Builders Inc. will provide promotional materials to each participating venue. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Mansfield, at ceo@bridgebuilders.org.au or by calling 0439 992 503.

By participating in Dine Out to Help Out YOU are making a difference in the fight against food insecurity. For every dollar donated to Bridge Builders Inc. we are able to provide two meals to someone in need.

In addition to raising money for hungry children, seniors living on fixed incomes and hardworking families struggling with the increased cost of living, Dine Out to Help Out will provide us with an opportunity to promote and support the local restaurant and cafe industry which helps ensure our community is a vibrant and delicious plate to live and visit.

Random Act of Kindness Day

You can never go wrong with kindness, and there can never be too much of it. The idea behind Random Act of Kindness Day is to cultivate feelings of kindness and brighten up someone’s day. Every small act of kindness is significant. It may seem like it doesn’t accomplish much but, just like the domino effect, one act of kindness can lead to more positive outcomes.

Random Acts of Kindness Day may not have been around for a very long time, but kindness has existed throughout human history. There are great examples of prominent figures in history who have made an impact through their selfless acts of kindness — Princess Diana, the Dalai Lama, and Mother Teresa, to name a few.
